About.

A bit about me..

Hi, I’m James. I started my photography journey several years ago, initially focusing on landscapes and sports photography. My passion for photography was sparked during trips with my dad to stunning places like Iceland and the remote areas of northern Scotland. It was during these experiences that I realized the joy of capturing and preserving meaningful moments through photos. Although I wish I had realised this sooner during my travels to Yosemite and the Grand Canyon, those destinations are definitely on my list for future adventures.

During my travels, my work was noticed and featured by Canon UK, which was an amazing milestone. Shortly after, I had the opportunity to travel around Europe to photograph some of the world’s best track and field athletes. One of the images I captured during this period earned me my first magazine front cover publication, a moment I’m incredibly proud of.

So, you’re probably wondering, how did I end up in wedding photography?

After photographing a family friend’s wedding as a favour, I left with a feeling of “hmm, that was pretty fun.” Receiving several compliments on my work, I thought, why not give this a go?

Since entering the wedding photography industry, some of my work has been featured in wedding magazine articles. One of my proudest moments so far was being part of a shoot created to promote diversity within the wedding industry alongside to amazing suppliers.

As you’ve gathered, I’m a big fan of travelling. I also love food and exploring new places. I can’t be the only one who plans holidays around the best coffee shops and restaurants, can I? Thankfully, I balance my love for food with the gym and occasional run—that’s how it works, right?

As you can see in the photo to the left, I have a beautiful dog named Milo, our little miniature Golden Doodle. While I’d love to bring him to every wedding photography shoot, he insists on charging a pretty steep appearance fee! He’s just turned three years old and loves any excuse to head to the beach or swim in streams, lakes, or puddles. His favourite spot is Norfolk, where he can explore the long beaches all day, every day.

Why not say “I do” to wedding photography that’s powered by a couple who truly understands the importance of capturing love, laughter, and moments with furry friends? Our unique perspective as a couple ensures a seamless experience for our wedding clients, making sure every part of your journey is taken care of with love and attention to detail.

Besides managing the admin side of the business and shooting weddings, Sophie has an impressive athletic background—she’s a pole vaulter for Great Britain! From competing at the Commonwealth Games to making it to the European Championships final, Sophie brings dedication and passion not just to her sport, but also to every wedding project we take on.

And of course, there’s Milo—a furry bundle of joy who steals hearts with every wag of his tail. When Milo isn’t out causing mischief in fields and forests, he’s busy being the center of attention, revelling in all the fuss and love he deserves. As a family, we share a love of great coffee (the good stuff only—sorry, Starbucks!) and Milo joins in on the fun with his Puppuccino treats!
